About Dodge

Dodge traces its origins to 1880 in Mishawaka, Indiana, where it began manufacturing wood split pulleys and power transmission equipment. Today it operates as Dodge Industrial, a Greenville, South Carolina company that became part of RBC Bearings in 2021. The company manufactures mounted bearings, enclosed gearing, couplings, conveyor components, and mechanical drive accessories, and many of its designs have become de facto standards across bulk material handling. Its product families are known for reliability and long service life in rugged, high-torque applications.

What Dodge Is Known For

Dodge builds mechanical power transmission products that carry conveyor loads and drivetrains:

Mounted bearings: ball, tapered roller, and spherical roller units with locking systems such as the Grip Tight adapter mount and D-Lok clamp, built for conveyance and heavy shaft loads.

Enclosed gear reducers: the Torque-Arm II shaft-mount, Tigear-2 worm, Quantis gearmotor, and MagnaGear lines covering a wide torque range.

Couplings: elastomeric, metallic, and disc designs that transmit torque and accommodate shaft misalignment.
