Conveyor bearings
with spherical inserts

Determine if your conveyor uses a round bore or a hex bore insert.

For a round bore, use calipers to measure the inside diameter directly across the bore. For a hex bore, place the calipers in one corner, skip a corner, and measure across to the next corner (leaving one corner in between).

• Locking method: Set screw lock for standard-duty applications or eccentric locking collar for heavy-duty applications and higher speeds where vibration resistance matters.

• Sealing requirements: Standard contact seals for normal conditions, triple lip seals for heavy dust environments, or bearing isolators for extreme contamination.

• Load capacity: Wide inner ring inserts provide higher dynamic load ratings for demanding applications.

• Pillow block: For horizontal shaft mounting to flat surfaces.

• Flange: For vertical mounting or where space constraints require compact installation.

• Take-up: For belt tensioning applications requiring adjustment capability.

• Base to center height (H dimension): The distance from the mounting base to the shaft centerline.

• Housing footprint and bolt hole spacing (J and L dimensions).

• Base bolt size: Verify slot and bolt diameter match your pedestal or frame.

For corrosive or washdown environments, specify stainless housing and stainless insert combinations. For extreme temperatures, verify temperature range compatibility.

Select relubricatable units with grease fittings for accessible installations requiring periodic maintenance, or pre-lubricated sealed-for-life options for hard-to-reach locations.
