Fluent designs and manufactures custom live bottom bins with a roller chain conveyor floor that meters material output at a controlled, adjustable rate. Material loads from the top; the conveyor floor draws it forward and discharges it at the head. Built for new systems and retrofit installations. Engineered and fabricated in the USA.
Specify bin capacity, conveyor dimensions, drive requirements, material construction, and load ratings to ensure reliable, controlled material discharge and continuous operation.

Fluent live bottom bins combine a steel storage bin with a roller chain conveyor installed at its floor. Material loads into the bin from the top, and the conveyor floor meters it out at a controlled rate over the head end. The bin functions simultaneously as a surge buffer and a metering device. It absorbs irregular infeed and delivers a steady, controllable output to the downstream process.
The conveyor floor uses a rubber combination belt (a continuous rubber carcass reinforced with steel support channels). The gapless rubber surface contains fine, loose, and wet materials that would otherwise fall through or jam between belt sections.
Discharge rate is set by the VFD on the gearmotor drive. Because belt speed and throughput are proportional, operators can dial in a target feed rate and hold it regardless of how full the bin is. First-in, first-out material flow is part of the design.
Anti-bridging performance is a structural feature. Because the bin floor is a moving conveyor belt, there is no static plane for material to arch across. Materials that bridge in static hoppers discharge consistently from a live bottom configuration.

Fluent retrofits live bottom bins onto existing roller chain conveyor systems of any make, working from your drawings or field measurements. The fabricated bin and conveyor floor ship ready to install to the same structural and finish standards as bins delivered with new Fluent systems.

Partial specifications are fine. We can work with you to determine the rest.

Fluent designs and manufactures custom conveyors. The same engineering team that specs drives, belts, and controls also designs our live bottom bins. The steel bin structure and the conveyor floor are engineered as a single system.
Fabricated in the USA by certified welders
Powder-coated finish (color-matched on request)
Available as part of a new Fluent system or as a standalone retrofit
