About Parker Plant

Frederick Parker founded the business in 1911 in Leicester, England, and moved it to an 18-acre works on Canon Street in 1926 as demand for crushing and screening machinery grew. Parker produced the first tracked jaw crusher in the 1930s, employed more than 1,400 people at its mid-century peak, and took the Queen's Award for Enterprise three times, in 1969, 1978, and 1994. Universal Conveyors joined the group in 2006, Phoenix Parker Holdings was formed the following year, and by 2014 Universal Conveyors, Cartem, and Phoenix Transworld were all marketed under the Parker name. Every machine is engineered, fabricated, assembled, and tested at the Leicester site, electrical systems included, and Parker equipment has been sold into more than 150 countries.
