Smooth top belts run a flat, untextured cover for sortation, package handling, and clean product transfer. Fluent supplies replacement smooth top belts for Fluent conveyors and retrofit installations, matched by width, ply, cover compound, and splice to your slider bed, idler, or trough conveyor.
Smooth top belts run on every pulley-driven conveyor Fluent builds.
Not all options available in combination. Contact our engineering team for specific configurations.

and long-lasting performance.
Smooth top belts carry product on a flat, untextured cover. A flat surface is the right cover when product needs to accumulate without a cleat or texture interfering, transfer cleanly on and off other equipment, and present a wipeable face for food-grade or sanitary work.
Smooth top is the default cover on package handling, sortation, assembly-line conveyance, and fragile-product transport, which makes it the most common belt on a pulley-driven conveyor.
The flat cover is the wrong choice when the carry side needs grip. Inclines beyond a few degrees, loose granular material, and anything prone to rolling or sliding back should move on a cleated belt.

Designed for reliable material handling across a wide range of industries and conveyor applications.
Some recycling and waste operations run smooth top covers on sort decks and transfer runs where a flat, cleanable surface matters more than carry-side grip.
Smooth top belts accept endless and mechanical splices. A vulcanized endless splice delivers a continuous, fastener-free surface and is the default for food-grade, sanitary, and high-cleanliness runs. Mechanical splices (alligator, bolt hinged, rivet plate) allow field installation, length adjustment, and service on belts that cannot be vulcanized in place. Splice choice depends on belt tension, pulley diameter, and whether the belt is joined on the conveyor or off it.

If ordering a replacement, provide the original manufacturer documentation for an exact match. If anything is unclear, contact our engineering team, and we will work through it with you. Collect as many of these measurements as possible to get a faster quote:
