FDA Approved Food Grade Conveyor Belts Overview

Fluent Conveyors offers FDA approved food grade belting nationwide. Our belt offerings from our partners include a 1 piece belt with the cleats and the top covers cured together as one. These offerings remove odor or taste transfers between processes and have properties within the belting to remove staining, oils, and can handle extreme temperatures and cleaning solutions.

This belting is great to be used for post-packaged meat, poultry etc. If you need direct conveyance for meat or poultry, we recommend using the Pro-Clean (ultra-sonic welded) option that is a great substitute to Volta style belting. This ultra-sonic weld removes the ability to leave air pockets within the belt (seen with hot-air welded).

Synthetic & Oil Resistant Nitrile Covers

Our FDA molded conveyor belt comes in to the facility "un-cured" and almost like a soft clay. The belting requires refrigeration to ensure the belt does not harden due to exposure to air. The flat fabric and rubber belt are sent to the press and the belting cooks in 12 foot sections.

The belting edges are "open" so its important to make sure the belting chosen does not require sealed or capped edges. You may require a pure urethane belt to make sure the belt properties do not allow bacteria to remain in contact with the belt.

This belt offering is great for grains, vegetables, snacks or any products that are not pre packaged dairy, meat, fish, pet food or poultry.

We also offer alternate belting options to plastic modular belts. Smooth and rough top belts, 100% closed surface, a homogeneous thermoplastic structure.

**Volta style belts are very expensive, so please don't assume your requirements or conveyor components can't be replaced with an alternative option.

In-Stock Molded Profile Belt Options

Fluent offers a 4 stocked core patterns that have a working strength of PIW - 100 lbs.

Corrugated Pattern: this pattern has rounded ribs, 1/16" high on 1/4" spacing. This is a great pattern allowing for simple discharge of sliced food products.

Ascendor Pattern: Ribs that are 1/8" high on 1" spaces. Exceptional option for incline belts moving small to medium sized food items.

Top Flight Pattern: 3/16" high lateral cleats on 6" centers. Raised areas on the corners of the pattern to allow for drainage. This pattern functions closely to a flat non-cleated belt. Great choice when product slippage or roll-back is an issue.

Crosstop Pattern: 3/8" x 3/8" which tapers down to 1/4". This belt option allows for constant contact with the return idlers, does not require special idlers and allows for constant drainage.

Custom FDA Accepted Food Grade Belts

Fluent Conveyors offers a wide variety of belting that is used in the food processing industry. In order to provide the best experience, we need to fully understand your requirements, goals, food being conveyed, pulley diameters, live loads, belt speeds, conveyor frame layout etc.

Once we are able to collect more information on your current of future requirements we will be able to guide you down the path of potential cleat patterns, base belt types and splicing that will work best for your application.

If you need thermoplastic belting, magnethane metal detectable conveyor belts, multifilament warp, multifilament weft or fabrics for antistatic / non-antistatic belts please contact us

In-Stock Food Grade Integrally Molded Cleated Belts

Fluent offers cleated FDA approved food belts stocked with a variety of options: straight cleats, scoop cleats, straight-edge, v-guide & sloped edge.

These belts are available in two working tensions, 100 PIW integrally molded 1-1/2" or 2-1/2" cleats, 3/8" thick, on 6" or 12" centers; and 150 PIW, with either 1-1/2" or 2-1/2" high molded cleats, 3/8" thick, on 6" or 12" centers.

These belts are also made so the base belt and cleat are molded in a single operation removing seams and areas where bacteria can reside. Base belts at 48"wide and smaller are cut to the required application width. Belts can be used with mechanical fasteners, or made with prepared ends for field splicing.  These food grade belts can also be manufactured as endless, eliminating the splice all together.

All belts are manufactured with oil-resistant and synthetic covers that can be used in temperature ranges from 0 degrees to 220 degrees Fahrenheit.

Detailed & Customized Mechanical Engineering

FLUENT CONVEYOR DESIGN GUIDELINES

Fluent Conveyors Roller Chain Series Conveyors are designed with cutting edge software to be ahead of the curve. Giving you an edge above the rest. All machinery is validated using premium 3D CAD software and manufactured to industry leading tolerances and standards. After completion of a design, the engineering team releases to quality assurance, allowing secondary engineers to validate critical dimensions, calculations and manufacturability. After initial and secondary engineering approvals, projects are released to purchasing and the manufacturing facility by the lead manufacturing engineer. Our experts only approve the highest caliber work to ensure you’re working with nothing but the best.

FLUENT CONVEYOR MANUFACTURING GUIDELINES

Fluent Conveyors Roller Chain Series conveyors are made in innovative facilities to equip you to level up your business. With all the industry leading equipment and processes, Fluent Conveyors production team has over 100 years of combined experience paired with a facility of more than 85,000 square feet. The core facility has a paint booth, 40,000 square feet of dedicated assembly, 6 – welding stations, CNC fabrication equipment, 10 – overhead cranes and more. Parts are cut/machined on CNC Routed machines and bent on CNC Brakes for the best in industry tolerances. Every weld is tacked and re-measured for accuracy then completed by the staff of certified welders. Once manufactured, every conveyor passes through a 3-step finishing process starting with sandblasting and ending with high grade paint. Ensuring you’re working with smart, flawless machinery.

CONVEYOR TESTING OVERVIEW

All conveyors are delivered to you ready for work. Assembled and released to a detailed quality assurance checklist to make sure your machinery can hit the ground running. This includes key validations such as; weld examination, sub-assembly QC, 10 hours of tested run time, head shaft height validation, frame levelness, frame width validation, overall height/length, belt speed, belt tracking, belt and conveyor alignment, electrical requirements, incline and nose over angle verification and all other major specifications. Making sure your machinery is set up for long term success.

SHIPPING OVERVIEW

We ship the smartest way possible, to make your job easy. Fluent Conveyors Product shipments are carefully planned in CAD software to be loaded in an organized, space saving, and safe manner ensuring that all products arrive on-site the same as when they left our facility. Loose items are boxed and marked, assembled parts and components tightened to endure the rigors of freight and shipping. We’re here to make sure every step of the process is seamless.
